Well today was better as far as I got up at my normal time AND didn’t dally around like I did yesterday. I was actually at work by 6:45 AM. Much better than the 9:30 start I had Monday! I was still jonesing for that nap though.
I had some more reheated hot cereal for breakfast with a bit of homemade peanut butter mixed in, a banana and some coffee for breakfast. Yummmmm!
I did notice yesterday that I did not have near enough calories during the day. I’m trying to get back on track with my eating habits and, well, I cut it a tad short. I was sooooo hungry by the time I sat down for dinner that I was miserable. It was really hard not to gorge myself. But I managed not to. Plus, I ran that mile…really hungry! Probably why it was a sucky little run huh? So, today I added some more protein in the form of left over turkey meatloaf at lunch (and pb at breakfast). MUCH BETTER! I didn’t feel like I was about to eat my arm by 3 today.

Another challenge I have had came today was with my workout. It was a cross train day, which I initially planned on some elliptical time, but a wise coworker pointed out that today was going to be the only nice, non rainy day, the rest of the week. So, I took her advice and took the workout outside! I decided to go on a long brisk walk. The challenge was NOT RUNNING! I no that sounds crazy but I had a really hard time making myself stay at a walking pace. The reason I didn’t want to run was because I haven’t been working out much lately and need to ease back into it. Especially after jacking my hip up. It’s hard though! After a couple weeks off it’s so tempting to just jump right back where you left off. Which is how I end up over doing it. Does that make any kind of sense? Anyhoo…I did get in a nice hard walk, I was actually tired and felt like I had accomplished something when I finished. Plus, the weather was perfect! One hour and 4 more miles DONE!
We are having a repeat of dinner last night, so not much to report on that front. However, the new NCIS is on tonight and looks like it’s gonna be a good one! Yessss!

That’s awesome that you had to fight the urge not to run! I normally have to fight to not walk! haha
