After lots of promise and panic (people here freak the freak out if you mention snow, sad since it’s not THAT uncommon) this is what our big snow day today turned out to be…

And by freak I mean: wiping stores out of milk, eggs and bread, closing schools early and sending people home from work. It’s kinda hilarious actually!
Some areas south of Huntsville did actually get a good bit of snow though, in all fairness.
After our sleet/snow storm around lunch, there were a couple claps of thunder (so weird) and then this bright, shiny, round thing appeared in the sky! It’s been 2 solid weeks since I had last seen such an object!

Yikes…you better stay in side for the next week or so to survive that snow! ;)
Glad you got sun with your snow!
Right? Might get lost out there in a snow drift. Can never be too careful!
WEIRD! haha
Our city doesn’t even close when we get a foot of snow!
Currently the temperature is -41 degrees…Will the city close? NOPE. We just have to ride our polar bears to work ;)
It’s just silly. But lots of snow doesn’t happen here too often (just dustings). People just don’t know how to drive in it either. I’d rather have them locked up at home than out on the streets…
True! When we get dumped on in the snow department, all you see is accidents, cars flipped over, etc. We are USED TO SNOW and people STILL don’t know how to drive in it here!
Crazy folks!
You have a REAL winter, not like our California one.
PS I started blogging again, so feel free to come check it out.
It’s great to have you back!!
Cracks me up when a tiny layer of snow makes the world go crazy! I had to laugh last week when there was a flurry and schools were delayed…so different from where I was in PA!
